Learn One New Thing Everyday

By: Paul Touranjoe

Here's a simple trick that I use. It's helped me accomplish more than if I just looked something up and tried to remember it. Learn 1 new thing every day!

I've used this simple philosophy in every area that I care about or wish to learn more about.

Now, no one is an expert on everything and few can be called "experts" in anything. But this really does help me.

Here's what you do. Pick a subject you'd like to learn more about, for instance "on-line marketing". Learn one NEW thing about on-line marketing every day. At the end of a month, you'll know at least 30 new things you didn't know before! Or course, it works with anything.

Don't think you'll be able to remember everything you've learned? Simple! Start a journal and label it with the subject you've chosen. I put mine right in my Dock (on my Mac). Add an entry every day and go over it weekly. Pretty soon, these entries will be ingrained in your mind and you'll remember them. The trick is to be able to search quickly what you learn if you need to.

I file each one on a separate page with a searchable tab. This makes it easy to look up something or add to the things you already have in there. The next time you want to learn about something new just add it to your journal.

Pretty soon you may not be an expert on that subject, but you'll know a lot more about it than you did before. This is my fun way to learn!
