Impossible Success

By: Yedija Prima

For some people, success is a burden, especially in this era where the world is being hit by the economic and financial crisis. Even though, "success" is increasingly becoming something that is impossible to reach. Ironically, "success" is something that can not be ignored because of the success can increase a person's life level.
Maybe if you imagine, these days there is a long people queue in front of the window of heaven, where every person in the queue is being waiting given a success (maybe even the queue is getting longer).
The question is, "Is success really hard to get?" The answer is no, even we do not need to go to queue in front of the window of heaven for a success. In the Bible mentioned about someone who had a spectacular success. (And the Bible also mentioned about the people who always have success on the marketplace. And the Bible is not a book containing tales, it contains a true story.)
Isaac son of Abraham, one day, sow seeds, and in that year he also reap 100-fold. Can you imagine if someone who invested his money for a field of investment, then he receives back the results of 100-fold from the amount of investment? Wow, must be very shocking! And just like Isaac that person would be rich. The kind of Isaac's success is the success which impossible to reach, but it happened. Surprisingly, the Bible not mention the main cause of the success of Isaac except by the sentence: "because he was blessed by the Lord."
Genesis 26:12-13, "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:" KJV

The main cause of the success of Isaac is God's blessing. Note the following verse:

Proverb 10:22, "The blessing of Jehovah itself makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it." MKJV

So, in other words, people need the blessing of God to succeed. And our question is, "What kind of people who are blessed by God?"

Proverbs 10:6, "Blessings are on the head of the just; ..." MKJV

People who are blessed by God is the just, why? The just is a man who justified by God for his life in accordance with the law/word of God.
(Note: We can not consider ourselves to be true based on personal standards. How can any justification that must be true is the justification based on the standard of God)
The problem is, not all Christians living in accordance with the written word of God (Bible). Meanwhile, The blessing of God never 'far' from the Word. So it feels weird when someone hoping to get the blessing of God, while the person is away from the Word (the Bible). Let us compare this understanding with the following paragraph:

Joshua 1:7, "Only be strong and very courageous, that thou mayest take heed to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded thee. Turn not from it to the right or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest." Darby

We need to consider, God promised that Joshua "mayest prosper" in all his ways, but the Lord commanded Joshua to act cautiously in accordance with the word of God. In other words God's blessings will always be on top of Joshua during his life as long he lived as a righteous man.

Wisdom today: Success will always appear in the life of the righteous, who blessed by God.
